UK homeowner guide. Checked 30 October 2026.

Find a researched review of the heat-pump family on your quotation, then compare the installation design and ownership terms. There is no universal best heat pump for every home. Our reviews identify variants, published capabilities, pros and cons, conditions and alternatives without claiming hands-on testing.

How to use this directory

  1. Ask for the complete outdoor/plant and indoor codes from the installer.

  2. Choose the matching family below and check generation and capacity variants.

  3. Compare the heat-loss design, cylinder service, noise assessment and aftercare.

  4. Use a direct comparison only after both quotations meet the same household brief.

Read our review methodology and commercial policy. Some established or transition ranges remain here to help existing owners and buyers interpret quotations; their inclusion is not a claim of current UK stock.

Coverage and evidence

This directory covers 61 researched UK-relevant model-family pages across 27 manufacturers/providers. It focuses on domestic water-based heating, with selected exhaust-air and hot-water-only options. Capacity variants are grouped within a review; air-conditioning, pool and commercial-only ranges are outside this catalogue. International models with unconfirmed UK supply are not described as generally available.

No numerical product score is implied by directory order. The right purchase is the system whose exact code, design, installed cost and support match the home. A named source, declared condition and honest evidence gap are more useful than an unqualified “best” badge.
